Camilla Parker Bowles.
The couple will marry on Friday, April 8, at Windsor Castle, Clarence House confirmed.

The nation will be watching closely for reaction from Prince Charles's sons, Prince William, 22, and Prince Harry, 20. Mrs Parker Bowles has two children by former husband Andrew Parker Bowles, Tom, 30, and Laura, 26.

The question of whether Prince Charles, as heir to the throne, could marry his divorced companion has caused controversy within the Anglican church. The Prince will become head of the church on becoming
king.

In a newspaper interview last June, the former Archbishop of Canterbury, Lord Carey, suggested that the church would
accept the marriage.

"He is the heir to the throne and he loves her. The natural thing is that they should get married," Lord Carey said at the time.

The title to be held by Mrs Parker Bowles after the wedding is Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Cornwall. The title avoids the controversy of having Mrs Parker Bowles share the title of Princess of Wales with Prince Charles's first wife, Diana. The Princess died in a car crash in Paris in August 1997, a year after she and the Prince divorced.

The Prince first met Mrs Parker Bowles at a Windsor polo match in 1970. Their relationship continued over the decades, and famously carried on during Prince Charles' 15-year marriage to Diana. The Princess of Wales complained publicly that his friendship with Mrs Parker Bowles meant their were "three people" in the marriage.
